Survey on Pakistan Workers’ Remittances Conveniences & Difficulties – From Remitter & Beneficiaries Perspective

As a result of the combined efforts of SBP/PRI and banks, the inflow of remittances witnessed an increase of 12.5 %(YoY) during the first five months of FY2018-19. However, it is a source of concern that informal channels remain strong and more efforts are required to divert remittances towards formal banking channels.

In this regard, PRI has developed a questionnaire along with State Bank of Pakistan, to conduct a survey of home remittance customers to identify the factors responsible for usage of Hawala and difficulties encountered by customers in receiving remittances through formal channels. In order to diversify the survey population for unbiased results, the subject survey has been uploaded on the below links.
